Meet the Artist

Joy Scioneaux (See-N-Oh) is a South Louisiana based artist. Originally from bayou country of Terrebonne Parish, currently residing on a barrier island, on the Gulf coast. Creative impetus stems from a love of art and drawing from a young age. Her Cajun roots are where art and music were realized and fostered, to her benefit.

My choice of substrate and medium is oil on panel. Subjects include Louisiana wildlife, landscapes, and still life, etc. Inspired by the Impressionist and Romanticism eras, the product of my work leans toward a more painterly style. Affectionately admires Monet, Sargent, Sorolla, Delacroix, Renoir, Rembrandt, Wyeth, Cassat, and Degas.

Commissions are considered.
